The goal of the Worcester Dog Owners Walking Group is to develop and refine a community dog walking intervention program as part of a research study at UMass Worcester. Dog walking is a possible way for people to become more active. This meetup group will provide an opportunity for dog owners to connect to their community and discuss and resolve limitations to dog walking. The present study aims to test an intervention that addresses increasing physical activity, please call Susan at (508)856-17 …
Calling all Great Pyrs, Berners, Newfies, St. Bernards, Danes, Shepards, Bouviers, Wolfhounds, Mastiffs, Big Labs and whatever-mixes! Let's get together with our BIG DOGS and have some fun times. I'd like to find a fenced-in area where we can go off-leash safely but for now we'll have to overrun a dog park or two! I'm also thinking of a combination of walks on the Blackstone Bikepath, fund-raising walks and any other events of interest to members. I would like to set Sundays at 1:00PM as a regul …

You need not have a bully to be part of our group, only a love of them! So grab your pooch and join us for a walk, hike, fundraiser, training cla …

The length of time varies from group to group, but generally we'll h …

Like most greyhounds, my big beautiful brindle boy, Jacoby, loves other greys immediately. I thought I'd like to let him meet other greyhounds in the area. We can walk, we can play, we can chase. And we can make new friends -- greyhound and human alike. Please note: This group is meant for greyhounds and their humans only, as greys typically get nervous around other dog breeds. We'll stick to walking in parks where the terrain isn't so bad until the winter thaws out a bit! Be sure to check out t …
