Instead of bringing dogs to a fenced in "boxing ring" to rough house and potentially get hurt, we are bringing them on a focused walk in their most natural state - in a pack. We can do simple paved trails, such as Bare Cove or Pond Meadow Park. Or we can step it up a notch and try the paths less traveled, and go for hikes on the Blue Hills. Location suggestions are welcome! So, all friendly pups and their owners, come join us on our walks for exercise, socialization and some fresh air. Rememb …

I have 2 standard poodles who love to play and socialize. We go to a couple of other dog meetups but don't meet too many other big dogs for running and more robust play. We're hoping to get together with any larger breeds who like to play and run too. We live in Watertown and especially like Cat Rock Park in Westin but are open to anyplace we can be off-leash in a safe or fenced place.

… We could walk at a track, at a park, in the woods, along the streets, anywhere we like, and anywhere you prefer. Dogs? No dogs? Strollers? I'm open! I was thinking of early mornings (I am not a morning person, but this is the time that works best for me), but I'm open to discussion. Let's walk!

We wanted to start a group in order to socialize with other small dog owners in the local area for socializing walks and companionship and sharing of dog caring resources. We also share neighborhood celebrations and and charitable activities. Anyone who has a small doggie and a good heart with a good sense of humor should join us!

Like most greyhounds, my big beautiful brindle boy, Jacoby, loves other greys immediately. I thought I'd like to let him meet other greyhounds in the area. We can walk, we can play, we can chase. And we can make new friends -- greyhound and human alike. Please note: This group is meant for greyhounds and their humans only, as greys typically get nervous around other dog breeds. We'll stick to walking in parks where the terrain isn't so bad until the winter thaws out a bit! Be sure to check out t …
