This Meetup is for anyone who loves bully breeds (American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Boxers, etc.) and wants a chance to meet up with other bully breed owners and socialize their dogs with pack walks and off-leash hikes/walking adventures, and an occasional meetup at a dog park or dog-related event going on in the area. PAWS is a nonprofit organization incorporated in 1962 by Westport, Connecticut resident Betty Long to rescue homeless dogs and place them in permanent homes. In the early 1980s, our rescue efforts were expanded to include cats. PAWS rescues & rehomes approximately 115 dogs and 435 cats annually. Many of the dogs faced euthanasia at local pounds and most of the cats that we help are strays and abandoned cats that roam our streets. Tails of Courage: Run Your Race is a program for families (and their pets) to participate in more outdoor activities. We encourage parents and their kids (two legged and/or four) to come out and join us in volunteering, walking, running, hiking, and many other outdoor activities in our communities.
